In this week’s reading recommendation section, I want to mention a book that I unfairly didn’t give enough spotlight to.
I’m talking about my own book, The Art of Showing Up.
In case you haven’t heard about it, the simplest way to describe it is with its subtitle: A clear and practical method for mastering consistency.
Why am I mentioning my book now if I’ve done almost zero promotion since April, when I first released it?
Well, better late than never.
But I’ll be honest with you about “the real” reason.
I don’t have any crazy discounts to share with you for this Black Friday. I’m not a big fan of it.
My Sisyphus Society is currently closed for new members. And I didn’t want to create a course on another digital product just for the sake of running a Black Friday discount. That’s not the way I want to go about creating and providing value.
But what I can do is offer you a book that was written with the sole intention of changing your inner and outer world by helping you become consistent.
And, since I want you to get a good deal after all…
For the next 7 days (until 11. 28.), anyone who buys The Art of Showing Up will get free access to a consistency workshop I will do on November 29 to ensure you get the maximum amount of value out of the book. AND, you will get my collection of the most life-enhancing ideas, The Gold Pill, also for free.
For the cost of two overpriced Starbucks coffees, you could buy a book containing practical advice that can change your life and receive these bonuses. Also, every purchase of The Art of Showing Up goes a long way in allowing me to direct my time, attention, and energy into creating free value for all of you instead of focusing on monetizing my online presence.
Consider buying The Art of Showing Up here.
*Members of the Sisyphus Society and those who previously purchased The Art of Showing Up will also get access to the Consistency workshop. You don’t have to buy the book (again).
What I’ve been listening to:
Chris Herren on the Rich Roll podcast
Chris Herren is a former NBA player. However, for a long time, he was better known as a waste of talent, a shame, and a failure. That’s because Herren’s skill and talent have been overshadowed by his struggle with drug and alcohol addiction, which started in his teen years.
It's not an easy story to listen to, but it's an extremely impactful one. And, in the end, it’s a story of hope. When you hear how many times Chris Herren has let himself and his loved ones down, how many years of his life he has thrown away, and how he has in the end managed to turn his life around and help thousands of people battle their addiction, you are left with the impression that we must believe in everyone’s ability to get better and to become better.
What I’ve been thinking about:
Your life is unique just by the fact that you were born, but it is also only as unique as you make it.
YOU are the only person who can make your life an extremely dull and unexceptional story or an epic adventure, regardless of your circumstances.
Thank you for reading.
Stay strong, love life, and never feel sorry for yourself.
Once again, The Art of Showing Up.
These volumes just keep getting better and better ☝🏻🩵
