What I’ve been reading:
"Wanting: The Power of Mimetic Desire in Everyday Life" by Luke Burgis
If "Wanting" was to be summarized in one question, it would be:
"Why do we want what we want?"
If it were to be summarized in two, they would be:
"Why do we want what we want, and how is what we want influenced by others?"
And, if it were to be summarized in three questions, they would be:
"Why do we want what we want, how is what we want influenced by others, and how does this process of wanting affect the individual and society?"
"Wanting: The Power of Mimetic Desire in Everyday Life" by Luke Burgis delves into the concept of "mimetic desire." Inspired by the work of French thinker René Girard. It was because of Girard that I picked up this book. "Wanting" has been described as an accessible introduction to this French thinker, the originator of the concept of mimetic desire.
I will be writing more about it in the upcoming weeks.
What I’ve listened to:
16 Life-Changing Ideas You’ve Never Heard Of - George Mack on the Modern Wisdom podcast
If you are looking for an intellectually stimulating conversation that will have you press pause multiple times to take notes on ideas that can actually change the trajectory of your life, look no further.
Watch and listen here or on any other podcast streaming platform.
What I’ve been thinking about:
By setting worthy goals for yourself and investing your attention, time, and energy on a consistent basis to get closer to those goals, you cannot help but grow into a higher, fuller, more complete, and better human being.
What I’ve been working on:
The enrollment for the Sisyphus Society has officially started, and it lasts until Sunday, 11:59 p.m. EST.
For those who are not familiar with it, Sisyphus Society is a community I created for those who want to go beyond the talk and theory and actually start putting into practice the lessons I’m sharing through my writing.
For example, set worthy goals and actually start investing their attention, time, and energy into moving closer to them.
If you get any value from my free content, I guarantee that the Sisyphus Society will blow you away.
Also, I decided to reward those who are using the summer season to better themselves instead of letting themselves go.
That’s why all those who join during this enrollment get 3 private 1-on-1 calls with me to discuss any and all aspects of your personal growth journey and make a concrete plan for you to move forward.
This way, on top of the full support you get inside the Sisyphus Society, you receive an unprecedented level of personalized support directly from me.
And, this enrollment is the last time Sisyphus Society is available at this price, because of the substantial amount of value being added and time being invested in it.

The enrollment will end on Sunday, and the Sisyphus Society will stop accepting new members until further notice.
Thank you for reading.
Stay strong, love life, and never feel sorry for yourself.
