What I’ve read:
Last week was spent mostly rereading the materials I will be using in the (Re)Build course and going through my notes on them.
But here is something new and impactful I’ve read:
What I’ve listened to:
Chris Paul on the Rich Roll podcast
Even though he never won an NBA championship, Chris Paul is one of the prime examples of champion mindset.
After 18 years of playing in the NBA and cementing himself as one of the legends of the game, he still approaches every season as if he has something to prove. Because, according to him, he does.
I would recommend this conversation to anyone who loves to get insight on what it means and what it takes to be great.
"Reps remove doubt."
What I’ve been thinking about:
One of the most impactful phrases you can learn in life is "so what?"
You failed. So what?
You were hurt. So what?
Not "so what?" in the sense that these things don’t have an effect on you. You are human; you can’t turn off your emotions.
But we often think we won’t be able to recover or move on from something. We tend to catastrophize.
When you ask yourself, "So what?" you almost always find out that whatever happened to you can’t and won’t crush you. You realize it will pass, and you will move on with your life.
Thank you for reading.
Stay strong, love life, and never feel sorry for yourself.
